please follow these guidelines for preparing your sale items


Bar-Coded tags are MANDATORY for JBF of Chattanooga sales.  Thank you for helping us become more efficient in how we do business!

Here are instructions for tagging your items.

1. Log on to www.myjbftags.com
2. Create an account (Make sure you choose Chattanooga, TN as your sale location. ALSO, make sure that you're using your correct consignor number when you register.)
3. Click on help/demos on the left for instructions. Click HERE for complete printable instructions (ignore the $3 minimum rule, you can start your clothing items as low as $.50).
4. Enter your tags.
5. Print your tags on light colored cardstock only (white available at Sam's Club for only $7.22 for 250 sheets). Here is a helpful tip from Channon G., consignor, "I get my cardstock from the printing counter at office depot. You can get only the amount you need. For 30 sheets, I only spend about $1.50. Just thought I would share that."
6. Track your sales online. This is not a "real time" system. The tags may not get entered until the end of the day. Please don't panic. Keep watching the website and as we upload the tags, you'll see your sold items, but while the sale is going on, we don't upload tags until about midnight each evening. Thanks for understanding.
7. Please DO NOT delete your items unless the sale is over and you have recieved your check. The unsold items that you picked up (that you didn't donate) will carry over to the next sale.
8. We will delete your sold items from each Chattanooga JBF sale 60 days after the sale.  Make sure that you have run all of your sales reports BEFORE this day! 

If tagging multi-piece items using the bar-coded tags please follow this procedure:

Print one bar-coded tag with the price and all the information. On the barcoded tag in the description, you'll put 1 of X (with X being the total number of pieces in the multi-piece set).
 
THEN, you can hand-write the additional tags (on 3X5 index cards) to go with the other pieces. 2 of X, 3 of X etc. Remember only the FIRST tag (the one with the bar-code) has a price on it. The other tags just have the description, your consignor number and 2 of X , 3 of X , etc. No prices go on the second or third tags.
 
This is only for non-clothing items (ie. a table & 4 chairs, a vanity & stool, etc.). If you're doing clothing, you'll just pin the clothing items together on the hanger and shouldn't need to make multiple tags.

Tagging

  • NO CROSSOUTS, WHITE OUTS OR TAPE OUTS OF ANY KIND ON TAGS If you need to make changes on a tag, you'll need to RE-print that tag.
  • All clothing items (except socks, tights and little items in ziplock bags) MUST be on hangers.

Please pay careful attention to your consignor number. Be sure not to transpose the digits in your numbers. We will not accept any items that have crossouts, white-out or scribbles on the tags. If you need to change something on a tag after you have it on the item, you must print a brand new tag for that item.

Fall / Winter baby, children's, and maternity size clothing will be accepted for this sale.

  • We will be accepting Fall / Winter  maternity clothing.  (See Maternity Guidlines at bottom of page)
  • We accept Girls sizes preemie thru 14 (we no longer accept Junior sizes).
  • Boys sizes preemie thru size 14 (we no longer accept men's items). Please, bring items that are children friendly. No vulgar or "off color" items.
  • No Adult women's clothing accepted except maternity.
  • Please inspect your items carefully at home-we will also inspect them at drop off. Clothes that are soiled, stained, very worn, out of fashion or with holes, will not be accepted. Please understand that we want to be the best in children's consignment. If you can take your items home and get the stains out, please do so and bring them back during mid-week drop off. Just Between Friends reserves the right to deny any unacceptable items.

Pricing

You set the price! Price to sell keeping in mind the quality, name brand and condition of your items. JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS suggests starting at 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price. We also suggest that you let your clothing items be included in the half price sale. Mark the starting price up if it is something that you are sentimental about, but of course, it is your decision if it is half price or not. Price your items in $1.00 or .50 cent increments.

We DO NOT currently have a $3 minimum rule in Chattanooga, so you may start your clothing items as low as $.50, we may need to change this as we grow.

Unacceptable items will be placed on a rack by the entrance, please check this rack before leaving Camp Jordan.  Items not claimed will be donated to Bethel Bible Village.

Pinning

  • Use only one inch or larger safety pins to attach tag. (These are 200 for $1 at the Dollar Tree.  Dollar General has 200 for $1.50 and are easier to find.). No straight pins.
  • Pin clothing sets securely together with pants hung on the backside of the shirt and pinned at the waist on the hanger(unless you have the special hanger for two piece sets). Both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them. Pants hung on a separate hanger tend to come off the hanger and then get separated from the top.

Spending a little extra time getting your items ready will mean more money $$$ for you. Items that are cleaned, smell fresh, are ironed and starched, with all pieces attached, buttons snapped and loose threads clipped, sell much better!!

Multi-Piece Item Tagging Instructions (except clothing):
For items with multiple separate pieces, put a tag on EACH piece(this does NOT apply to clothing, one tag is fine as long as the items are pinned together). Print out the first tag as normal but include " 1 of X", where X is the number of pieces. Hand-write all of the other tags, write your consignor number, the description, and "2 of X", "3 of X" etc.
DO NOT put price on any tag except the first! Only use multiple tags for separate pieces (for example: a table and four chairs); do NOT use multiple tags for items that are attached together.

Please follow these instructions EXACTLY. Refer to illustrations on this page. Items must be prepared as indicated by tagging instructions.
