Because our volunteers work extra hard to get to shop early and with a minimum of other shoppers, we ask that volunteers follow guidelines of - no husbands, mothers, children, pregnant friends, etc with you on shopping early day (unless they also have completed a volunteer shift and have the appropriate presale pass). Helpful husband who is available 8am-12pm to help unload the Uhal and trailer and set up the racks, pipes, etc.on Wednesday October 14th. This is worth a 4 hour presale pass. (This position is for able-bodied men who don't mind unloading the uhaul and trailer and setting up the racks and pipes.) Volunteer YOUR HUSBAND for four hours and he gets a $50 Home Depot gift card when he shows up and completes his shift and you get a 4 hour volunteer shopping pass. This option is ONLY available for consignor's husbands. No boyfriends, ex-husbands, etc. Sorry MUST be a current consignor. Volunteer policy applies.

If you can't volunteer a 4 or 8 hour shift, but can help in one of the following areas, you can get a shop early pass (bartering options NOT available for 24 hour volunteers.

Meal for 8 - you will provide one large meal for 8 people including drinks (Although, we LOVE and appreciate homemade meals (please bring any items in disposable containers or containers that don't need returned to you), this can be very simple ie. frito chili pie and salad, chicken & taters, Sloppy Joes and chips, ect...  NO PIZZA PLEASE - this is worth a 12 hour presale pass and 70% on your consigned items

Lunch - generally 11:00 - 11:30
Dinner - generally 5:00 - 5:30

Stamps for 100 first class envelopes- you will provide 100 first class (self-adhesive) stamps at least a week before the sale. This option is only available to the first 9 people to sign up through the volunteer scheduler. - this is worth a 12 hour presale pass and 70% on your consigned items. 

Special TEAR DOWN/SORTING 4 Hour Barter - volunteer for 4 hours on Saturday (6/27), 6pm-10pm on sorting - this is worth an 8 hour volunteer (shop the presale at 11am) presale pass and 70% on your consigned items(this is a barter option -- barter options not available for 24 hour, & 12 hour volunteers). We will waive the consignor fee for anyone who volunteers at least four hours of sorting time. Please make sure that you sign-in on the "Volunteer Sign-in/Sign-out Sheet." in order to have your consignor fee waived.

Drinks for volunteers - you will provide (7) 12 packs of soda. These need to be dropped off Wednesday (10/14) between 8am - noon   This option is worth a 12 hour presale pass and 70% on your consigned items.

Water for Volunteers -you will provide (5) cases of water (1 case = 24 bottles). These need to be dropped off Wednesday (10/14) between 8am - noon  This option is worth a 12 hour presale pass and 70% on your consigned items.

Answers to Frequently Asked VOLUNTEER QUESTIONS:
~ Do not worry if you haven't ever volunteered before, we will show you what to do when you arrive. Please try to arrive 10 minutes before your shift for a little training.
~ Volunteers mainly help with greeting & checking out customers, straightening clothes on the racks, and reorganizing items. It is really quite fun and our volunteers say that it helps them to appreciate how the sale runs.
~ Consignors who are volunteering may pick up their presale pass at the information table during consignor drop off .
~ If you are not consigning you may pick up your volunteer pass during consignor drop off times or email stacyervin@jbfsale.com if other arrangements need to be made.
~ Please bring any food/drink (and a small cooler if desired) that you might need during your shift.
~ Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. We provide a cute JBF apron for you to wear during your shift.
~ The volunteer presale is only for those volunteering! Husbands, mothers & friends must earn their own pass to attend the presale.
~ Children are not allowed at the presale. Non-walking infants are admitted if they are in a Snugli /Baby Bjorn or can be carried. ~ Consignors who volunteer for reorganization (Saturday from 6p-10p) may pick up their unsold items after this shift.
